SELECTARC B90 - Semi-synthetic basic coated electrode with 140% recovery, designed for Nickel base alloys (INCONEL® type 600)
CLASSIFICATION
| AWS A5.11: ENiCrFe-3 | ISO 14172: E-Ni 6182 (NiCr15Fe6Mn) |
CHARACTERISTICS AND APPLICATIONS
SELECTARC B90 is a semi-synthetic basic coated electrode with 140% metal recovery, producing a Nickel base weld deposit of the INCONEL® 600 type.
It is suitable for repairing and joining Nickel alloys, 5% Nickel steels, cryogenic stainless steels (down to –196 °C) and high-temperature steels, as well as Incoloy® 800 type materials.
Particularly recommended for joining dissimilar materials, such as stainless steels to low alloy steels or Nickel alloys, and for buttering layers on difficult-to-weld steels.
The weld metal is crack-resistant, offering excellent resistance to acids, salt and alkaline solutions, and molten salts.
It is resistant in oxidizing and carburizing atmospheres (but not recommended in sulphurous atmospheres).
Applications include oven parts, burners, heat treatment equipment, cement works, moulds, tanks, transport and storage of liquid gases, chemical and petrochemical industries, glassworks, civil engineering, repair and maintenance workshops.
