DESCRIPTION AND APPLICATION
SELECTARC 316VD is a low carbon rutile–basic coated electrode specifically designed for vertical down welding.
It is intended for welding Cr–Ni–Mo stainless steels and clad steels used in service temperatures from –120 °C to +350 °C.
The electrode provides a stable and controllable arc, a uniform weld bead shape without spatter, and easy slag removal.
Thanks to the optimized coating composition, it ensures high weld quality and excellent corrosion resistance.
It is most commonly used in the chemical and petroleum industries, refineries, as well as in the pulp and paper industry – for welding pipes, tanks, and heat exchangers.
