DESCRIPTION AND APPLICATION
SELECTARC INOX 316NG is a low carbon stainless steel electrode with a basic coating, designed for welding Cr–Ni–Mo austenitic steels and overlay plates. It provides good welding stability in all positions, especially on partially prepared joints, as well as uniform metal fusion and a clean weld surface.
Thanks to its high impact resistance and corrosion resistance, the electrode is suitable for service at temperatures from –196 °C to +350 °C.
It is widely used in the chemical and petroleum refining industries, as well as in shipbuilding, for welding pipes, tanks, and heat exchangers.
