Description

Ferroxin DS Spray - Wax base compound for protection and lubrication wire ropes

A solvent containing, wax base, cutback corrosion preventive compound for protection and lubrication wire ropes. It forms a dry wax-like film which is firm, amber, translucent, and non-tacky. It combines the basic requirements of good adhesion, protection, and lubrication.

 

Properties

• free of graphite 
• relative good resistance against alkaline fluids and gases 
• delivered liquid 
• forms flexible, closed wax film 
• free of bituminous material 
• neutral to metal surfaces 
• even available in hand spray bottles 
• flexible even at low temperatures down to -30°C 
• good tackiness 
• very economic 
• relative good compatibility with seals, plastics, and paints, please check compatibility before application

 

Applications

• for protection of steel tubes and profiles at outside storage 
• for preservation of machines, gearboxes, turbines, vehicles, agricultural equipment 
• for conservation and lubrication of wire ropes 
• for wire ropes at cranes, container appliances, open-cast mining appliances and excavators
