It replaces PTFE tape and sealing yarn and provides immediate sealing against moderate pressure. Suitable for sealing gas, water, LPG, hydrocarbons, oils and various chemicals. The thixotropic property prevents the sealant from migrating from the thread before or during curing.
Resistant to shocks and vibrations, with sealing performance maintained in the temperature range from −55°C to +150°C.
Approved for gas applications (DVGW, DIN-EN 751-1), high-pressure gas and LPG (Australian Gas Association) for working pressures up to 20 bar.
Approved for use with gaseous oxygen up to 10 bar and +60°C (BAM).
Loxeal 58-11 is WRAS approved and suitable for contact with wholesome (potable) water.
Approved for contact with drinking water (GLOBAL MARK).
NSF registered in category S4 as acceptable for use as an adhesive in and around food processing areas.
Tested by KIWA as a sealant suitable for pure hydrogen applications according to EN 751-1.
