A silicone-based fluid with unique properties, as it is neither derived from petroleum nor organic chemistry. Silicone fluids represent one of the major classes of polymers originating from inorganic chemistry.
The product offers exceptional versatility, ranging from brake fluids and lubrication applications to advanced electronic uses. It serves as a safe, low-volatility heat transfer medium and an effective mould release agent for rubber, plastic and glass components.
Suitable for lubrication of most non-metal to metal contact surfaces. Widely used in hydraulic systems, inertial guidance systems, precision timing and photographic devices, and as dielectric fluids in electronic components such as capacitors and transformers.
Also suitable for polishes, water-repellent high-gloss coatings, antifoaming agents, and grease and oil formulations when combined with thickeners such as silica or bentonite.
High-performance greases can be produced by blending silicone fluid with extreme pressure additives such as polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) or molybdenum disulphide.
