DESCRIPTION AND APPLICATION

SELECTARC INOX 16-8-2B is an austenitic stainless steel electrode with a basic-type coating containing approximately 5% ferrite and an increased carbon content.

It provides a stable welding arc, good slag removal, and smooth weld bead formation with high mechanical strength.

Suitable for welding in various positions, including joints with insufficient preparation.

Used for 18/8 type (304H) and 17-12-2 type (316H) stainless steels, as well as stabilized grades intended for high-temperature service up to +750 °C.

Particularly suitable for applications in the oil and gas processing, chemical, and petrochemical industries – for welding pipes, tanks, heat exchangers, and pipeline systems.
