ISO 3677: B Ag 55 Zn Cu Sn 630–660
EN 1044: Ag 103
Kontakt 1055 Ag is a cadmium-free silver brazing alloy. The high-purity copper-zinc alloy with 55% silver provides excellent wetting and easy application. It is specially designed for maintenance and repair of food and refrigeration equipment. The rod is flux-coated to simplify the process and ensure strong and corrosion-resistant joints. Working temperature range is 630–760 °C.
This alloy requires controlled cooling to prevent weak and brittle joints.
Kontakt 1055 Ag is suitable for general use with copper and nickel alloys, stainless steel and metal tools. It has a low melting range, excellent flow properties and high strength.
Main applications: when low melting temperature is required, when cadmium-containing alloys are not allowed, and when white colour improves appearance (e.g. stainless steel). Suitable for tight joints due to excellent gap penetration. High fluidity combined with narrow melting range makes it ideal for precision work.
Applications include joining and repair of stainless steel and non-ferrous equipment, tools and fittings in food, pharmaceutical and medical industries, as well as refrigeration, cooling, heating systems, chemical industry and laboratory equipment manufacturing and repair.

Clean surfaces from oxides, corrosion and grease. Heat the joint to working temperature, braze and allow to cool to room temperature. Remove flux residues with warm water or solvent.
