ISO 3677: B Ag 56 Zn Cu Sn 620–655
EN 1044: Ag 102
Kontakt 1056 Ag is a cadmium-free silver brazing alloy. The special high-purity copper and zinc alloy with 56% silver provides excellent wetting properties and easy application. It is specifically designed for maintenance and repair of food and refrigeration equipment. The rod is coated with flux to simplify the brazing process and ensure strong, corrosion-resistant joints. The working temperature range is 620–655 °C.
This alloy requires controlled cooling.
Kontakt 1056 Ag is suitable for general use with copper and nickel alloys, stainless steel and metal tools. It features a low melting range, excellent flow characteristics and high strength.
Main application areas: when low melting temperature is required, when cadmium-containing alloys are not allowed, and when a white colour improves visual appearance (e.g. stainless steel). Suitable for tight joints due to excellent gap penetration. High fluidity combined with a narrow melting range makes it ideal for precision work.
Applications include joining and repair of stainless steel and non-ferrous equipment, tools and fittings in food, pharmaceutical and medical industries, as well as refrigeration, cooling, heating systems, chemical industry and laboratory equipment manufacturing and repair.
