Properties and application
Basic coated, widely used hardfacing electrode.
Deposit hardness ~58 HRC, resistant to cracking and highly resistant to impact, pressure and abrasion.
Suitable for carbon steel, manganese steel and cast iron parts.
Deposition rate approx. 120%.
Application: wear surfaces, crushers, tracks, wheel flanges, cutters, blades.

Recommendations
Dry if necessary: 2 h at 300°C.
Hold electrode perpendicular and use short arc.
For crack-sensitive materials use buffer layer (Kontakt 218).
Preheat high carbon steels to 200–400°C and cool slowly.
