Nickel-based electrodes are specially designed electrodes that contain nickel as the main component.

These electrodes are used in welding to make connections with nickel alloys or metals that contain nickel, such as stainless steel and other non-ferrous metals. Nickel-based electrodes have specific properties that make them suitable for particular applications where high resistance to corrosion, temperature, and mechanical wear is required.

Nickel-based electrodes:

  • Application: These electrodes are widely used in industry, particularly in the chemical and oil sectors, where high strength and corrosion resistance are essential. They are also used for repairs and in high-temperature conditions.
  • Challenges: Nickel-based electrodes must be specially treated to ensure high-quality connections. Joints made with nickel-based electrodes can be prone to cracking if proper preparation and welding techniques are not followed.
